Melbourne's Nightclub and Bar Owners have founded the ALLM (Association of Liquor Licensees Melbourne) and
WE NEED YOU to JOIN US!

We are asking for all Club and Bar owners to join the ALLM: we need to unite and be the industry body that is consulted by the government BEFORE they plan changes to our industry.

The 2am lockout was only the first drastic change we licensees could face!

Amongst it's other initiatives, The State Government's Victoria Alcohol Action Plan (VAAP) proposes:

  1. To review License fees across the board ($30,000+).
  2. To enforce new security camera regulations ($15,000+).
  3. To reassess the Licence conditions (operating hours, patron numbers etc) of existing venue's licences.
  4. No issuing of new licenses after 1am.
  5. To continue to propose a lockout policy.
  6. To enforce strict guidelines related to the responsibilities and training of managers.
  7. To support new compliance units and under age agents.
  8. To dictate pricing and products as a way of combating ‘binge' drinking.

The ALLM has been formed to represent YOUR interests in response to the VAAP.

We too are eager to find constructive solutions to managing violence associated with consumption of alcohol but in a DIALOGUE with the government and other key stakeholders, considering the interests and with mutual benefits for all parties involved.

!The more members we have, the stronger our voice!

The ALLM is an incorporated association of independent liquor licensees who wish to operate with best practice in and build upon Melbourne’s vibrant bar culture through proactively working with all stakeholders in the pursuit of the appropriate amenity balance for all, recognizing and managing changes to that balance over time.

The ALLM acts as a common voice and facilitator between its members and other stakeholders to resolve issues and develop and grow the industry towards agreed aims for mutual and shared benefits.

The ALLM has been formed in response to Victoria’s Alcohol Action Plan 2008-2013 (VAAP) and seeks to be one of the key stakeholders who are consulted in the implementation of strategies that affect the industry.
